Take a look at the control arm bushings. Their being worn will cause the knock when going over bumps.
Where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cylinder
Hello, crank position sensor located at the 2 o`clock position hidden behind timing cover and crank shaft pulley. If you look closely in well lit area or use a flashlight you can follow the (CCPS) harness down the right hand side of timing cover to where it goes into lower timing cover on lower right hand side of crank shaft pulley. It can be replaced with out removing timing belt. Please note if the 60,000 miles heavy service interval for timing belt is needed and water pump condition should be observed when repairing the crank position sensor.
My 2003 galant is leaking antifreeze onto my transmission resivior, trouble shoot?
This could be a cracked tank for your radiator filler. Try placing a clean paper towel under the antifreeze tank and fill it with coolant. If there is a crack in the tank you will see it or the results of it. Replace the antifreeze tank - these things get cracked when people put water in the tank instead of mixed water and antifreeze. You get a hard freeze and bingo - your coolant tank breaks - usually on a seam and underneath it where you can't easily see it.

Check all hoses and also see if your water pump is leaking.
There has to be something that is leaking possibly in the area of your floor boards. I suspect a hose that has a pin hole in it and only leaks under pressure.
Driver side door locking with remote but will not unlock.
it is not the actuators, try a different remote, you may have an issue with the car security system/body computer not functioning on the unlock driver door command, one press of remote is unlock driver door and 2 presses is unlock the other doors.
Button difficult to depress to shift out of park
Is it a floor shifter? If so i wouldnt have used wd40.. It collects dust and contaminants. If anything on moving plastic to metal parts like that or plastic to plastic a silicone lubricant is more preferable. Its likely time for a new shifter Knob is where i would start. There should be either an oversized staple looking peice that retains the knob on the shifter itself, or it could possibly screw off as well.
