Hi John,This should be fairly simple. I have uploaded a PDF file to Filesonic.com that contains both the Power Distribution Diagram for Fuse #64 and the Heater Circuits for your 2000 Ford Focus. You can download this file for FREE at the link below. That makes this task very easy.Most likely, the blower motor itself (or the solid state circuits built into it) are shorted. Here is how we PROVE it before going out and buy a blower motor:1. Unplug the blower motor connector. Replace the fuse with the connector disconnected. If the fuse blows, then the GREEN/ORANGE wire between the fuse and the blower motor is shorted to ground. You will have to follow this wire from the blower motor back to the fuse block to find out where it is shorted.2. If the fuse does not blow, then take a test light (make sure it uses an incandecent lamp - the LED type will not work for this purpose) and connect it between the GREEN/ORANGE wire (ignition switch ON) and the BLACK/RED wire at the blower motor connector. Using the blower motor speed control switch, the lamp should not light at all with the switch in the OFF position. Then it should light and get brighter with each step as you move the switch toward the HIGH position. If this all works as described, then we have just proven that all of the circuits are good and that you need to replace your blower motor.3. Yes, it is likely an issue with the switch. It you can find the wiring diagram for it, you can test it for continuity with a multimeter.

Hi,

The serial number is on a label at the back of the radio. With this model you must remove the radio from the dash to find it.

If it is a European Ford the serial will look like M123456. You can try this site for the code once you have the serial as they are cheap and reliable for decoding Fords.

Otherwise your local dealer will get you this code for around £25.

Hello mawbea: My name is Roger I will answer your question. You did not say which engine is in your car. So if you have a 2.0 SOHC engine. If the belt broke you should be Ok. If you have the 2.0 DOHC engine. The likely hood of bending the valves are just about a guarantee. How ever with any engine using a timing belt it is possible to bend a valve.Should you need more help please just ask.

Just go through the procedure to remove the inner door panel and then you'll see the actuator rod that goes from the door handle to the latch. Just spray the acuator rod at the door handle end and the latch end with a shot of pb blaster (wd-40 will also work) to clean and loosen it up. I did that very thing last week and the door works like a new one. The hardest part of the whole door panel removal is the mirror cover and the cover on the actual door handle. You have to remove the cover on the door handle to see the two 1/4" bolts that hold it on. Still a very easy job for the basic do-it-yourself kind of guy....mine took less than an hour (maybe just a bit longer) to take apart and put back together. At any rate it's still cheaper than taking it to a dealer so they can do the same exact thing and charge you 75-80 bux to fix it the same way. See uf this helps

Check the user manual, it will show position of fuse box and location of fuse 64 With the correct amperage for that fuse.

Misfires aren't just caused by spark plug issues. You could have a problem with one or more sensors on the engine, a fuel supply issue, A vacuum leak, a PCV valve problem or a more serious issue with the actual parts inside the cylinders themselves. Did it throw any other codes? Does it do anything else wrong? (like stalling or very smoky exhaust gas). Unless your familiar with working on engines I would recommend getting a good mechanic to look at this. They'll be able to look and listen to the engine for more clues to what the problem is.

There should be a reset button on a part called an Inertia switch. This switch is located behind the front kick panels or in the trunk.The Inertia switch is a safety switch used to prevent fires after a collision. But sometimes if the right Frequency is generated by closing a door, hood, or trunklid the switch will activate. Then power is cut off from the fuelpump.

sounds like broken gear cable they are to not to had to fix

thats a job one of two ways to do that pull the motor and tranny as a unit or drop the cradel i dont think there is room to seperat them in the eng bay hope this helps

un fotunately you can't get radio code from chassis no. you need unit out don't know what unit you have it will be either m serial no (older unit) or v serial no.(newer unit) could only suggest taking to ford dealer & get them to remove unit to get serial no.

I am betting on a tire balance. I have had tires out that only vibrate at 60; they were pretty smooth at 75.
