SOURCE: red and green lights on mirror flash
Hi.
I had a similar situation on my 1995 C220. Firstly it appeared that the key was transmitting duff code and confusing the system. With green/red leds flashing the immobiliser's on. A weak key signal was misunderstood, but a new key battery solved that.
Secondly, my problem didn't time-out like yours. When the problem had occurred the only way to stop it was to disconnect the battery...I think it was just for some seconds.
This reset the system. With a good key code transmitted and a reset security system it all worked fine.

Hello Abdul,
I had this problem and the solution is rather strange.... Change the battery in your remote key for a brand new fresh one and see if this solves the problem. Apparently, when the lithium battery is low, the central locking will continue to work but the immobiliser disarming circuit cannot decode the signal.
