1996 honda accord won't start. drove 40 miles each way on friday and parked car .. first 40 miles was all stop and go traffice second 40 we took freeway all the way and just paid tolls, woke up sat...

There are several things that could cause this problem. First is when was the last time you replaced the fuel filter? Next thing you need to do is open your radiator cap to see if there is oil in your coolant and also pull your oil dipstick to see if there is any white stuff on the bottom of the dipstick. If either of these things are true then you have a blown head gasket. The last thing could be a bad coil or even engine control unit (ECU). Good luck.

I have a 2002 Honda Accord V6. When I go to start the engine, it takes forever! It cranks but will not start for a long time. Someone said it may be the fuel pressure regulator, does anyone else know

Could be the fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Did you have anybody do a fuel pressure test on it. I've owned honda's before. How many miles since timing belt was change. Timing could be off. You can test with a timing light or by having it hooked to a diagnostic tester at Autozon, O'riellys or Advance Auto.

When my gas light comes on how many miles do i have left before i run compeletly out of gas?

Most vehicle have about 2 gallons of fuel when the light comes on usually around 20-40 miles depending on the vehicle. I would suggest always keeping atleast a minimum of a quarter tank of fuel at all times if possible. Dirt/debris that can accumulate over time in your gas tank will be pumped through your fuel system once it is using the bottom of the barrel reserves this can cause a restricted fuel filter and your injectors to be clogged too.

Check engine light is on, on my 2002 honda accord ex v6

Could be as simple as a loose gas cap or cap seal or a bad o2 sensor. A falty cat. converter will also cause the check engine light to come on. Either way, you need to go either to a dealer or some auto parts stores will plug in the dioegnostic sensor and can tell what is wrong. your gas milage will suffer until you get this fixed. Your engine computer uses the inputs from your o2 sensers to adjust the fuel air mixture of the engine for optimum engine performance.

Emissions control light on 2004 Honda CRV is staying on, even after checking gas cap. What should I do? Is there a finite answer to indicate what the problem is, or will it be 'trial and error'? Also, how...

No big problem, turn the gas cap to tighten it,and keep turning it until it clicks, drive awhile, and it should reset itself. If it does not, replace the fuel cap.

1998 Honda Accord EX sputters for first 30 - 45 seconds

have the compression checked its likely a head gasket is leaking and letting antifreeze back in the cylinder when you turn off the engine radiator would also be a lttle low

1990 Honda Accord EX Transmission

possibly due to low trans fluid pressure. the cooler in the radiator may be plugged. to check, disconnect and bypass cooler with rubber line & clamps. drive 2-3 miles. shifting OK now? install auxillary cooler to bypass one in radiator. you can get one at auto-zone $30-$50. may just need fluid & filter change, but more likely it's the cooler. when they get plugged, either one, pressure drops alot.
