As long as the trunk is open, It won't work. The top has it's own computer. Have the codes read. Takes a scanner. These have like 20 sensors and switches for the top and trunk. You can try to close the latch on the trunk with a screwdriver to get it to work. Another thing is there is a cover that pulls out . This has to be pulled out and latched in place. This will keep it from working also.

You can back flush it by removing the hoses in the engine bay and connecting a hose. bosch or NGK mag wires are best. plugs any you want , if car short miles car, every year go cheap plugs , if hard to reach go best plugs. I like NGK the best, but there are other good brands.

You need to determine where the noise is coming from. Check your power steering fluid and make sure it is full.
