04 yamaha turn signal doesnt work

Both front and rear turn signals dont work. I redid bike fairings and all and was finishing putting together when went to wire back turn signals and smelled burning so shut off bike. I konw i wired it wrong but took bike for run after wards (unhooking turn signal wires) and just wanted to make sure it didnt fry computer. Runs great just no turn signals. Would this be due to fuse blew or relay fried? Hopefully thats all... any advice would be appreciated. New at this and trying to save money but looks like costing me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

One last question: if you turn on the left turn signal, the left lights come on but don't flash? Same with the right? (Ok, two questions!) If that's the case, it sounds like the flasher unit got fried. I'm not sure where it's placed exactly on your bike, but that's where I'd start. Hope this helps.

That's what it sounds like to me. Hopefully nice and easy to get to.

SOURCE: I went to hook up my new tail light on my 2006

the cover of the fuse box usually tells what they are for, I would expect more than 2 fuses so could be another fuse box

How do I get to the wire housing on the rear of the 2008 Yamaha V Star 1100 Custom to switch from standard turn signals to LED bullets?

Im not completely familiar with that bike but from pictures and microfiche it looks like there are a couple of bolts under the fairing that when taken out shoild allow you to get into the wiring when you pull the cover out. I hope this helps

Turn signals not working

Ok, consider it kind of like a warning system. You have some blown bulbs and the way it tells you this, it stays solid. The opposite stays off. If it is the back that stays on, then the front bulb is blown and needs to be replaced. Same on all vehicles that use the flasher system.
