Insert DVD to the DVD player, and then play. If you want to play the digital format DVD content, you can convert the DVD to ISO files. To convert DVD to ISO files, you will need:

  • A source DVD.
  • A DVD drive.
  • Enough disk space on your computer to store the converted ISO files.
  • A DVD converter software.
Then, you can follow the steps below to convert DVD to ISO files:
Step 1: Download a DVD converter on your computer.
Step 2: Insert your DVD to DVD drive connected to your computer. Then, load the source content to the software.
Step 3: Select copy content, copy format, and output directory. Then, start to convert.

To play an ISO image on your DVD player instead of mounting on a visual drive and watching on your computer, you must first burn the ISO images onto a DVD-R/RW.
If you don't want to burn ISO file to DVD disc, then you can get an ISO player program on your computer such as Leawo Blu-ray Player which is a free Blu-ray and DVD player.

What does unsupported format mean?when downloading/playing video from fromflashdrive in the deck this message appears, unsupported format.

Some dvd players only play .avi files, the cheap ones use a pc dvd drive and will play most files, get a movie encode, ( some are free ) and encode the film into the type your dvd plays, good site to see what dvd's play what files is video help . com

I burn a dvd from an iso using 2 different computers but they won't play on standard dvd players. only on computer or a portable player

'Standard' DVD players will not play computer video formats such as .AVI or .DIVX or .WMV or .MP4 whereas the 'generic' and cheaper (chinese) Players will support them (they will state that they support MPEG, DIVX and MPEG 3 & 4 formats).
Unless your ISO results in a properly DVD formatted media (with multiple files and file types including .DAT), it simply will not work.
Note that many 'standard' (and branded) DVD players will not support many rewritable CD or DVD.
Hope my information will help you assess your problem
