This sounds like a hard drive issue or windows has been corrupted, if you have a recovery disc try and reload your operational system, if that fails have the hardware tested for possible replacement.

You must have the "Digital Audio" box checked in the audio properties.

SOURCE: can not get the wifi working on my dell latitude d610

sevendust4li,

I have just had the exact same problem and i just fixed it.

You are best off downloading & installing the Intel Proset/Wireless software. This will fix your problem automatically. Once you do this you have the option of letting windows manage connections for you or just let the software do it. Your choice.

Make sure that you download it from the Dell site though as the drivers on the Intel site are only generic. Dell drivers and software are specific to your laptop and are directly setup for your laptop.

Here is the link for the software I got and i believe you need and let me know how you go mate. Iether click it or cut and paste it into your browser address bar.

Go to the DELL support page
http://support.euro.dell.com/support

Click drivers & download
enter your system type and model

You will then be presented with all the drivers for your D610.
Download the Sigmatel driver in the Audio section.
Save the file then run to install the driver.

Dell latitude D610 drivers

You didn't say what the problem is, but if you're looking for the drivers you can go here and find all the ones you need and see which ones might need updating - http://supportapj.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=sg&cs=sgdhs1&l=en&s=dhs

If you're having problems with your drivers, you should have a program called "Dell Quickset" or something similiar from Dell that should be pre-installed and it can do scans on your system to see what could be wrong and/or see what you might need.
