Sound distortion on medium volume with radio, cd, aux, ect.

My Philips FWC527 from 2003 has really bad sound distortion once turned up past 1/3 on the volume knob. It now does this on radio, cd, and tape no matter what type of media I listen too. Ive checked the cable connections and they are secure and undamaged. What could be wrong with my stereo?

The problem is in the audio driver or output stage which is normally an ic semiconductor, it is recommended that a technician look at the stereo to assess cost.

Low output with high volume

sounds like distortion is being caused by trying to amplify a low volume level from the input device. try putting the ipod volume at a medium level and try again to see if the distortion goes away/reduced

Bose Wave Radio/CD bad static and occasional "pop"

Hi, When you change the Aux turn the radio off. Then turn it back on. As for the static move the radio to another plug or to a different room. If you have floresecent lighting it may do that too.
The cord acts like an antenna so don't bundle the cord. Good luck.

Can't get auxiliary to work on Pioneer Mosfet Head unit 50x4

you have to turn the AUX input on through the function menu which can be accessed by following these steps

1. with the unit on. press and hold the source button unitl the unit turns of (or goes into demo mode, which is fine)

2. depending on the model that you have, you will have to press and hold the
(volume button or the audio button), until a menu is displayed.

3 . toggle through until you find AUX 1 and AUX 2. i would turn them both on and see which one you have plugged into, then you can go back and turn the other off.

4. once you have change it to ON. press the source button to turn on. the aux option should now be in your source options.

5. also, while on AUX, you can go into the audio settings and turn up the SLA (sound level adjustment) to +4

hope this helps

Try going through the menus and finding a place where you can adjust the aux level(volume) on my sony it has to be all the way up to match the output of the radio and cd functions-also my mp3 volume has to be up bout 1/4 to even hear it but when i turn it up it really goes then-i dont know if that helps but good luck

Bose radio

Not on its own, but you could connect an external CD to the auxilliary (AUX) RCA/ phono inputs on the back evn a cheap, personal CD player could be connected from the line out / headphone socket! (If you do this from the headphone socket, make sure you only have the CD player set to about two thirds volume or the sound will be distorted and poor)
