I hold the power button on the remote control for a long time until the TV powers on.
These units are built like laptops and cell phones, delicate parts inside that are expensive. Not easy to work on, let a shop handle the repair. These units are built like laptops and cell phones, delicate parts inside that are expensive. Not easy to work on, let a shop handle the repair.

I just had the same problem. I call Vizio and this is what they had me do that did fix the problem.
1. Unplug the TV
2. Hold down the power button on the TV for 30 seconds (yes, with it unplugged and do not plug it back in yet.)
3. Take the batteries out of the remote.
4. Press each button remote twice to ensure that they bounce back and are not stuck.
5. Place new batteries into the remote.
6. Plug the TV back in. Not into a power strip if possible. ( I did not have an available outlet so I used a power strip.)
7. Try turning the TV on using the remote. (My TV turned on. All of the functions worked - problem fixed.)
Hope that this helps.
Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. Icame across your question and wanted to see if I could help. It sounds like youmay need to either readdress your TV4 remote to your 322 DISH receiver or youcould possibly have receivers for TV2 and TV4 mixed up. Since your TV4 has "Pressselect to watch TV" on the screen you can check both of your receivers andwhich ever receiver has the TV2 blue light off is the receiver this TV runs offof. If this is not the case and you are positive that the TV4 does run off the322 you will want to take the remote to the receiver box location in order toreaddress it. I will list here for you the instructions for readdressing theremote to the receiver box. I hope you find all this information useful and ifyou have any other questions or this does not fix the issue you are experiencingfeel free to email me at [email protected]. Thanks and have a greatday! Instructions for readdressing your remote to your DISH receiver
Go to System Info screen. You can do this by pressing the power button once then the channel up button once on the front of the receiver box.
Once you are in the system info screen you will see primary remote address and secondary remote address.
Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.Change the number to something different then what is already listed in the little white square for secondary remote address.
Press the pound (#) button
Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 4 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
Hello, my name is Becki Barned, and I am with Dish Network customer service. To program the remote to a Vizio tv, there are a couple approaches that you may take. First is, follow this link: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/power-scan-instructions which walks you through it. Or do these steps: 1. Hold down the TV mode button until all mode buttons at the top of the remote light up, then release. 2. Punch in the code 505. 3. Press the pound (#) button on the keypad. Use either of these, and that remote will work great! Just make sure after you get the volume working, that you press the SAT button on the remote! If you have any other questions, blog back, or you can find us on Twitter!!!!
why should i tell you (fixYa) how i fixed the problem for free? You wanted to charge me for your info so i think it's only fair that i charge you for mines. I did figure out and solved the problem.
Power on your TV and press the INPUT button on the side of the TV repeatedly and rapidly until you can change it to a different input, such as AV.
If this does not work. Try this: With the TV off, press and hold the input button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. Let me know if either of these work.
