I have found (somewhere on the web, sorry cant remember where) that it is only a power error ! So if you see the P.e the calculator doesn't received enough power... All you gotta do is to change the batteries!! Or plug it with the appropriated power cord :)
Enjoy!

Helloooo

There is a switch located above the keyboard labled IC for item count...slide the switch to the on position and as you add a number will appear on the paper tape on the other side of the total. On some units it will appear on the Display also.
I hope this solves you problem.

SOURCE: I have a sharp El 1701C calculator and can't get it to print. It was working but I touched some button and now it shows NP, also an F and a up arrow on the left side of the screen.

My guess is that you are getting a No Paper message and a Feed message accompanied by a directional arrow indicating which way it is to feed. Maybe you can Google (sharp)(El 1701C)(manual) to find out what went wrong and how to get things back to normal.

CE button doesn't clear on my SHARP EL-2630PIII

CE stands for Clear Entry. It clears the number that one just entered. To clear the results of a previous calculation use the key AC, if calculator has one. Otherwise try pressing the CE key twice or enter 0, because that is what the clear button will do.

Hi I have a Sharp Elsimate EL331A calculator. How do I programme in the new 20% VAT rate, please?

Press the red [C-CE] button twice, then the yellow [+TAX] button.
Then type in the Tax percentage. Press [+TAX] again and then the [C-CE] twice again.
This works for the EL-331A Calculator.
